A weaving of worlds, a ceremony of merging, a witnessing of death.
Deep gratitude for space to share the mess. Many moons ago, I launched a project + cyber coven called Portal.Web :-)
It has gotten a new makeover and is now → Shared Body.
“SHARED BODY (fka PORTAL.WEB) is a cyber coven and site of activation where we harness the wisdom of technologies from the emerging ones to the earth-based and ancestral ones through engagement with our radical imagination, embodied knowledge, and deep inner-knowing.”
The ethos of the project is in many ways the same but as I move deeper into embodied research and contemplate my own art and research goals, a commitment to thinking beyond binaries and questioning of hierarchies is evident.
At the center of the project, I’m still questioning “what the fuck is technology?”
At the core of my emotions, I’m reckoning with an extreme disconnect with many of the technologies of today being birthed and the very limited gifts they supposedly will provide to our futures.
Can an NFT end our climate crisis?
Will web3 teach you how to love me?
Can the next new device enter into a consensual D/s relationship w me?
everything is interconnected it seems.
maybe, these webs I weave are my own algorithms.
a continuous rumination to keep me ruminating.
reduce, reuse, recycle.
shared body is the name of an unpopular old project that lived and a coulda been wouldve been project that died. let’s celebrate it’s rebirth & second chance at life :-)
you all will be the first to know that in late april & early may, Shared Body will be launching an open water residency. a collective opportunity to explore water as technology. more details soon but hope to see you all there.
