Happy new year <3
2021 has gotten off to such a great start for me! I’ve been finding a lot of comfort from daily messages, daily tarot, and connecting more deeply with those close by.
My card today was Ace of Swords (Reversed): “The Ace of Swords reversed indicates that a new idea or breakthrough is emerging from within you, but you are not willing to share it with others just yet. You may still be exploring what this idea means for you and how to best express and manifest it in the external world. You may also seek greater clarity about whether this is an idea you wish to pursue more fully, perhaps because you are unsure if it will bring the results you truly desire. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, it’s important to give yourself time and space to meditate and clear your mind so you can ‘birth’ this idea in the most effective way.” - Biddy Tarot
Well on that note, I got some big things to announce...and maybe anotheer bigger thing in the future that I’m still marinating on ;)
For my NYC babies, I’m launching SYNTH LIBRARY NYC with Heidi Sabertooth. This has taken a few months of planning and cannot wait to connect with you all over music making tools. Our mission is to be a resource for hands-on access to synthesizers, modular gear, recording equipment and other electronic musical instruments for people of all experience levels. One of the main barriers to learning and using new music technology is the expense of making a full commitment to purchase gear, plus the frustration one can feel when trying to learn in isolation. We want to build a community where individuals can try out new gear, experiment, and learn from one another - which we believe will lead to greater participation in music technology, especially from those who are less able to afford gear and/or have not had much prior experience with gear.
Here’s our Instagram and our Website! Can’t wait to share more with you all.
And another big thing...I mentioned a while ago wanting to do a longer Gaze Makes the Glitch project and it’s happened (kind of). Did the big task of attempting to code an entire website, which I haven’t fully done before alongside the writing and research aspects. Still needs some work but I’m super excited to share what there is so far.
